Typical abilities of persons with Cerebral Palsy: Sometimes, a child's Cerebral Palsy will only affect physical functioning. However, about 30 to 50 percent of children with Cerebral Palsy have some level of cognitive impairment.
Typical disabilities: The damage to the brain means that the person affected is unable to fully control some of their muscles - in practice, this means that some people cannot walk or talk in the same way as most others.
