Typical abilities of persons with Cerebral Palsy: Sometimes, a child's Cerebral Palsy will only affect physical functioning. However, about 30 to 50 percent of children with Cerebral Palsy have some level of cognitive impairment.

Typical disabilities: The damage to the brain means that the person affected is unable to fully control some of their muscles - in practice, this means that some people cannot walk or talk in the same way as most others. There are three main types of cerebral palsy, with some people affected by more than one of them.
