The Donation Option for Real Estate and Yacht Brokers
Brokers: Have you considered having your client donate a listed property or vessel rather than selling it?
Donating rather than selling may be a better, easier, and faster option for both the broker and their client.
Inclusive Adventures or one of our partners will compensate Real Estate and Yacht Brokers who refer a yacht owner to us – providing the donor agrees to donate the vessel to us and we or one of our partners determine that the donation is acceptable for processing. Our broker referral commissions are in most cases equal to or greater than broker sales commissions.
Fill out our intake form or call 302-308-4008 and we will explain our broker referral commission structure. Allow us to show you how easy and fast this can be. A “win-win” for the broker, owner, and our charity!
Often, the owner of a listed property or yacht becomes impatient with the time it takes to sell. Research shows the average yacht can sometimes take as long as two years to sell. In the meantime, the owner continues to incur considerable holding expenses of interest, maintenance, insurance, depreciation, docking, sleepless nights, opportunity costs, etc.
Inclusive Adventures is an IRS-certified 501(c)3 nonprofit charity. If the donated property or vessel is appropriate so our methods comply with all IRS requirements, your client can donate and enjoy an immediate tax deduction based on the full appraised or survey value of the vessel or gross sale price - depending on the program selected. Partial cash payouts may be possible on some higher-value properties called a bargain sale by the IRS.
In business since 2002, Action specializes in processing yacht donations for some of America’s finest charities. Action's unique ability to properly and safely facilitate yacht donations is resulting in an ever-increasing demand for our services from yacht and high-value vessel owners. Many of whom have been referred to us by satisfied previous donors or brokers!
The process for yacht brokers is very simple, fast, and financially rewarding.
First step is for the broker to contact us and discuss a potential yacht donation where the broker has suggested the “donation option” to the owner. Often the broker will suggest the owner visit our web page to see who we are – and to become acquainted with our unique services.
Second, a yacht donation expert will discuss the details of the vessel with the potential donor. If the vessel is acceptable, and the owner agrees to donation – the donor will be immediately relieved of the burden of ownership. Once Inclusive Adventures or Action take possession of the vessel, we assume 100% of the liability and costs. In most cases, the donor can immediately claim a tax deduction based on the full survey value of the donation.
Your client will thank you for suggesting the “donation option”.
Donating saves the owner all the costs and challenges associated with selling a vessel, not to mention the liability and depreciation. The owner will no longer be responsible for the holding costs while the vessel is being listed which allows the owner to immediately claim the tax savings. All this equals a happy client who will thank you for telling him or her about the “donation option”.
Donating is clearly a great choice. Additionally, the owner will also have the personal satisfaction of the humanitarian rewards associated with donating to one of our many qualified and worthy charities.
And finally, the broker will be compensated for referring the client to Inclusive Adventures and Action. The yacht broker's compensation will be the same as, or greater than, it would have been had he or she sold the vessel.

“Depending on the facts and circumstances, vessel donations can be a very attractive alternative to an outright sale (which, depending on the yacht, could take a measurable amount of time), and we commend the brokers presenting this option to their clients.
