Mount on Wheelchair or Bed with our Robo Arm Mount

Page-turning is an important ancillary process of reading a printed book or magazine. This mechanical process, however, is a source of great challenge and inconvenience to many people with disabilities, elderly readers, even musicians. PageFlip is a revolutionary, electronic page-turner to solve this problem. The page-turner can be placed directly on a table, music stand, kitchen counter, exercise equipment, or anywhere for convenient hands-free reading.  It can be added to any wheelchair or bed and held at the most comfortable eye level and angle by our Robo Arm Mount.

Simply slide the book into the book holder, preload up to 10 sheets (20 pages) into page slots, and activate the device to begin turning pages. The setup procedure for clamping the book and installing the pages is shown below. The reader may advance the page in the forward or reverse directions by tapping a wireless hand or foot pedal, pressing a button on the front panel, or using a sip-n-puff or other ability switch. Our robotic automatic page-turner is designed to offer a bidirectional hands-free solution that is 100% reliable, portable, quiet, and affordable. Complete instructions can be found in the user manual.

DISABLED:
An automatic page-turner would be an assistive technology to people with limited bilateral upper extremity function caused by neurological impairment, musculoskeletal problems, and generalized weakness. Included in this population are people who have suffered cerebrovascular accidents, spinal cord injuries, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and arthritic joint changes. The automatic page turner would enhance the quality of life of the elderly and disabled by improving their independence in this activity of daily living. A caregiver must be available to install successive batches of 10 sheets after each 20-page reading session. This process guarantees 100% reliability in turning one page at a time.

ELDERLY READERS:
An automatic page turner provides avid readers with convenient book support and page-turning features. It permits them to discover the convenience of hands-free reading. The robotic device can supplant book holders for use with cookbooks in kitchens, books in libraries, reading material on exercise equipment, or simply for reading in bed. Hands-free reading is limited to 10 sheets (20 pages) at a time before the next batch of sheets must be attached to the page-turner. This tradeoff assures the reader that only one page will be turned at a time. No other automatic page-turner can make that guarantee.

This patent-pending design guarantees 100% reliability in turning one page at a time. It requires the user, or caregiver, to separate up to 10 sheets (20 pages) at a time into slots that will be individually turned. Subsequent batches of pages will then need to be processed similarly.

* Very lightweight paper such as used in some magazines may not work well. Some very lightweight papers tend to fold over and not cooperate well to be turned from the very bottom of the page - the manner in which PageFlip operates.

1c. INSTALL BOOK (FOR HEAVY BOOKS ON A PIANO / MUSIC STAND):
1. Rest book directly on book ledge of the piano or music stand.
2. Open a book to the desired page and attach the book clamp along the center of the top edge.
3. Turn PageFlip Lite upside down and hang it upon the clamp pegs (which are now facing up).
4. Make sure that pegs slide into the rear slots of PageFlip Lite to attach the unit to the book.
