Charging
- Handicare Omni supports on-track charging with Transstrip along the full-track length or a shorter piece at one end
- Any lift upgraded with Lifepo4 Batteries must have OMNI full-track length charging or be upgraded with our On-lift Charging Socket (5.5x2.1mm). Either allow the charger to re-activate fully discharged, deactivated* Lifepo4 batteries.
History
- Handicare C-450 lb Power Traverse Omni with Battery Charge Level LCD Display. Appear to have very little use. Mfg 2017. Identical to the currently sold new model - which we also offer (Related Items). We purchased them as a large batch when they were removed from a hospital that moved facilities.
- Medcare M-1000 - New Old-Stock (show 20-30 test cycles on display, batteries never installed). We were approached and offered from government surplus. Told a VA over-purchased but paperwork found indicated they were intended to be used in some "undisclosed" assembly/development facility. Apparently to handle delicate and expensive equipment but program must have been canceled before installed. These are incredibly heavy duty with three motors in parallel providing redundancy, a heavy duty electronically actuated clutch I'm assuming for emergency fall-arrest. ~$12,000 new.
- Arjo Maxi Sky 600 mfg 2011 or 2008. Had inventory tracking and date tags from a professional facility. Most likely "timed out", and replaced with new.

Handicare C450 how to Reset the PM lifts counter: LCD Display & Programming Functionality
A. 1. The lift must be in power off state.
2. While pressing both Up/Down buttons on hand control, turn “ON” lift. Mode “Tech
-Prog” will show on LCD display with beep.
3. Follow the instruction “UP: RST PM Lift” on LCD and press UP button. A
minimum of 10 seconds must pass followed by a beep to indicate completion of
the reset.
4. PM lifts count will be “zero”.
5. Use lift as normal.
B. 1. The lift is in power on state but LCD is in blank status.
2. Press both Up/Down buttons on hand control to active mode “Tech-Prog” on
LCD display with beep.
3. Repeat the same procedures from step 3 to 5 as shown in option A to finish
reset.

My son was paralyzed in an atv accident Aug 2020. He is 6'3" and 250. His injury is c6-c7. He feels so free and relaxed in the water but nobody had anything but regular life jackets so we would have to add a pool noodle to support his head and neck and a square flat float to hug in front. We also had a problem because he isn't a small man. Nothing that would allow his arms free so he could get some exercise. This life jacket has helped a lot. There are a few tweaks with the neck and crotch straps. If they weren't tight enough in the crotch area then his head could slip lower even though we had the neck piece as secured as we could. But the crotch straps when tightened too much they would be a little irritating and cause Autonomic Dysreflexia. I think I will try adding a pad of some sort around the straps. That was the only issue other than the cost, but we would pay anything to see that smile on his face! Now we just need to buy a pool for our own backyard so we don't have to go on vacation to swim. Thank You! I would highly recommend this life jacket. From a very happy mom that cried with happiness to see her son in a pool and able to move around.

I can personally vouch for these remedy but you would probably need to decide what works best for you.
