Models Comparison
- 140 Watt 5-amp model can be plugged directly into an automobile CLA socket (cigarette lighter adapter) which should be rated to handle 15 amps or a minimum of 12 amps. Check your vehicle's user manual.
- 224 Watt 8 Amp - The same capacity and charging time as your home AC wall charger your wheelchair came with. Features Anderson plugs and must be wired to an existing, available 20 to 25 amp fuse or breaker on your vehicle's fuse panel using minimum 14 AWG 90°C (194°F) THWN-2 or THHN copper wire (we include 3 ft, 12 AWG wire harness with Anderson plug and fuse holder for your convenience)
- 280 Watt 10 Amp - 20% greater capacity and less charging time than your home AC wall charger your wheelchair came with. Features Anderson plugs and must be wired to an existing, available 25 to 30 amp fuse or breaker on your vehicle's fuse panel using minimum 12 AWG 90°C (194°F) THWN-2 or THHN copper wire. (We include 3 ft, 12 AWG The wire harness with Anderson plug and fuse holder for your convenience.) Output Anderson plug wire harness should be directly wired to wheelchair's battery terminals (connected in series).
- ICT 5A and 10A models - Heavy duty isolated. The best. Only one available of each!
RECOMMENDATIONS & PRECAUTIONS
- ONLY use when the engine is running to avoid draining your van's battery.
- Most automobile cigarette lighter sockets are rated and fused to handle up to 10 Amps, check with your car's dealer if you are unsure or concerned about its capacity or blowing a fuse.
- Safety Fuse: Replace with 10 A, 12 A, or 15 A glass cylindrical automotive AGC style fuse available at any auto parts store
- Never use submerged in water. Input and output wires will short with water intrusion. Allow to fully dry before use
Don't accept inferior alternatives! The only other automotive wheelchair charger on the market only supports 2 Amps which means to charge a large power chair with two Group 24, 70 amp hour batteries you would literally have to drive around for something like 35 hours.
VEHICLE-INTEGRATED heavier-duty version is available for Recreation Vehicles, Buses, Paratransit, Yachts, Aviation, or Military.
