Instead of relying on the wrist and forearm to maneuver a hand tool, the RoboHandle allows the larger and stronger bicep and tricep muscles to work. People who are concerned about proper body mechanics and ergonomic work safety will find the handle provides increased torque so they can more easily move a long brooms and dust pans. For people with disabilities who are unable to grip a standard handle tool, will find the adapted grip removes the wrist strain usually associated with a sweeping, mopping or raking action.
Attaching the RoboHandle to tool handles measuring 3/4 to 1 inch in diameter is extremely easy. Two stainless steel clamps are included, and for a more permanent attachment, the handle can be attached using sheet metal screws. The RoboHandle can be attached to floor and dusting mops, telescopic window squeegees, paint roller extensions, household push and angled brooms, as well as outside rakes and brooms.

Can I have one
I use this switch as a substitute for my left mouse button since I have advanced Duchenne muscular dystrophy. It works fantastic for my needs and last about 2 years before needing to be replaced.

I cannot use my arms due to multiple sclerosis. I was using a mobile on support in OT and it made a huge difference. Using this device I am now able to feed myself and put on make up. It’s giving me some independence. I brought it into OT and it works just as well as the one I was using there.

We purchased a comfort carrier to help us transfer clients into kayaks and all terrain wheelchairs. The carrier is very well made with thick material and strong stitching. It makes transfers much safer, due to the handy large handles for carrying, and also makes lifting a client easier as you can do so with a straight back!
