Typical Abilities of persons with Multiple Sclerosis: Although MS is chronic and severe, the prognosis is usually better than one normally expects. After 15 years of disease, 30% of patients go back to  work and 40% have normal or near normal walking ability.

Typical Disabilities: Multiple sclerosis causes many different symptoms, including vision loss, pain, fatigue, impaired coordination, bladder dysfunction, speech difficulties, stiffness, mobility issues, and more. The symptoms, severity, and duration can vary from person to person. Augmentative communication solutions from Broadened Horizons can help users overcome some of the difficulties caused by MS. They due this by facilitating the communication process during recovery. Assistive Technology offers a wide range of devices and solutions that allow users to communicate, study or work independently, helping them to overcome the disease.
